The fifth chakra, Vishuddha, is the first one of the three spiritual chakras.
It is the chakra of communication and self-expression. The Fifth Chakra in the human body is located in the throat region. In Sanskrit, the word ‘Vishuddha’ means purification and it has a beautiful blue clear sky color.
Anahata, the Heart chakra is the meeting point of the two different dimensions of life.
The longing to break away from all this and go away toward the knowledge of what is true, beyond limitations of time and space, beyond cultural and family conditioning, is in the last three chakras, Visuddha (Learning to express oneself ) Anja (Intuition the right to “see” ) and Sahasrara (Knowingness).
If the energies move into Visuddha – it is a power center you can become enormously powerful…very powerful individual. It is not necessary physical, financial power but people can be powerful in so many ways. Without doing any action just the way they are, some people are powerful and some are not.
You have the right to speak your truth; to have clear thoughts and then express them.
When the fifth chakra is balanced you speak, listen, and comfortably express yourself from a higher form of communication and you feel you have that right. And because you believe you have that right you actually reflect back to people to support you. If your experience is opposite of that, it represents that your chakra is blocked or weak. When you speak and then you go back and think over and over, you are questioning what you said. If it was just okay, that’s a big sign that you need to open this energy center. You have the right to speak your truth; to have clear thoughts and then express them. The other sign is that you have thoughts, you want to express them, but then you feel disconnected… You feel tightening on the throat and you cannot say what’s on your mind.
The blocking in the throat chakra can cause you to become quiet, and fearful. When it comes to self-expression and speaking to others, the disharmony of the energy can create feelings of anxiety, insecurity, and shyness. When the fifth chakra is blocked, public speaking can cause near paralysis.
When you dedicate your attention to work on the lower chakras it will help you to prepare for this level of communication. For example, when you align the first and second chakras, it helps with overcoming fear. Opening the third chakra helps you to feel your personal power and have the confidence to express yourself. Knowing what’s in your heart comes when you become in harmony with the fourth chakra. Then, when it comes to verbalize your needs, desires, and opinions you will be able to express yourself clearly with confidence of what you feel verbally to share.
The best way to clear and open our throat chakra is to learn to let go and trust our inner voice without any suspicion and to ignore our mind which tries to impose all kinds of doubts about our own worth based on our own story. Each moment of our life can be the great chance for the shift of our attention to focus on that which makes us alive, excited and that’s our own existence on this earth, which offers us so many possibilities to grow in wisdom as human beings.
Working on the release of all negative thoughts and emotions, including guilt, hurt, and resentment helps a lot to restore energy balance. By total and unconditional trust in the Unknown spontaneous existence that takes care about everything in the whole Universe including us as its own creation, a great release may come inside our Being because we’ll come from the position of ‘doing’ to the position of just ‘observing’.
By many conditioning, we are used to live an ordinary life being preoccupied too much with ourselves and our personal stories, but life in its totality is much bigger than our limited perception about it and our duty as human species is to discover our real nature, our real power…the power of our Spirit which gives Life and it’s Life itself.
